概况
About BJOU
北京开放大学原名为北京广播电视大学，是经教育部批准设立，北京市人民政府举办，以现代信息技术为支撑，面向社会大众开展远程开放教育的新型大学。
BJOU (formerly known as Beijing Radio and Television University) is a new type of university, approved by Ministry of Education and directly administrated by the People’s Government of Beijing. BJOU bases on the modern information technology and launcheslong-distance openeducation to the public.
国际文化学院成立于1995年，除专业教育之外，还是接收境外人士学习汉语的教学机构。灵活多样的办学形式，能满足不同类型学生的需要，因而受到了各国留学生的普遍好评。在人才培养方面，注重留学生的国际意识，增加不同民族、文化的相互理解，使学生能够在国际文化交流中充分沟通思想，具备较强的知识技能与创新意识，能够适应国外的工作和生活环境。教师教学经验丰富，普通话语音纯正。国际文化学院成立二十多年来，招收了涉及60个国家的外国留学生累计3000余人次，为学校的多元化发展，提高北京市教育国际化水平做出了贡献。
Founded in 1995, School of International Culture not only provides programs education, but also accepts international students who want to study Chinese. It is well received because it adopts flexible and diversified pedagogies to meet the needs of each student to the best of their abilities. In the aspect of talent training, School of International Culture lays much emphasis on cultivation of the international awareness of the students, increasing the mutual understanding of different nations and cultures, so as to enable the students communicate better during international cultural exchange. The students are equipped with fairly good knowledge and skill, as well as consciousness of innovation, adapting to an exotic working and living environment. All the teachers are professional and speak pure and standard Mandarin. Teaching facilities and student apartments are modern and well-equipped. Over 20 years since its establishment, School of International Culture has contributed to the diversified development of BJOU and the improvement of internationalization of Beijing’s education. Up to now there were more than 3000 Chinese learners from 60 countries in BJOU studying Chinese.

Flexible and diversified courses
学院课程设置不仅课型灵活多样，而且学习时间灵活，可满足多种类型学生的学习需求。采用小班授课方式；设有综合课、口语课、听力课、阅读课、文化课及商务汉语等多种类型；特色班授课可自由组班，有家庭班、少年班、长者班、兴趣班等可供选择。授课时间灵活多样，可随时插班，设有长期班、短期班等，并不定期举办游学项目。
The schooloffers flexible and diversified courses. Time of study is also flexible. It can meet theneeds of students at different levels; specifically, adopting the way of small-sizedclasses, and providing intensive class, spoken Chinese class, listening class, reading comprehension class, Chinese culture class, and Business Chinese class, etc. Students could choose some specialized courses, such as family class, children class, senior class, and interest-oriented class, and so on. Students also could take classes in the morning, afternoon, evening, or holidays. They can join in the classes at any time.The school also offers general Chinese courses, short-term training, study tour, etc.

我校秉承“学有所教，有教无类”的办学理念，积极推广以“语言+学历”为主体的来华留学生教育模式。学校与北京科技大学、中央财经大学、北京外国语大学等高等院校对接并建立校际合作，提高了来华留学吸引力，持续促进了汉语的国际推广工作，引领来华留学向高层次、高质量发展。
Adhering to the educational idea of "everyone has the right to education" and "teaching without classification", BJOU actively promotes the educational model of “Language + academic “education for the overseas students. BJOU has established connection with several Institutions of higher learning, such as Beijing University of Science and Technology, Central University of Finance and Economics, and Beijing Foreign Language University, and so on, thus helping boost the appeal of studying in China, and the task of international promotion of both Chinese language and Chinese culture, and leadingstudying in China to a higher level and higher quality.
多年来，为促进我校与国际教育机构的文化交流，学院与欧美、东南亚等地的大学、远程教育机构、语言学校等开展多种合作。作为国家开放大学北京分部，培养了来自奥地利、印度尼西亚、西班牙、俄罗斯、波兰、塔吉克斯坦等国家的孔子学院奖学金学生；与越南胡志明市开放大学开展了学分互认、转化合作；与泰国EIC学校、韩国放送通信大学、英国开放大学、日中友好交流福冈县联合会、美国两所高中、西班牙马德里高中、俄罗斯远东联邦大学、印尼棉兰捷捷语言学校和南洋之晖学校合作开展了汉语游学项目。
Over the years, School of International Culture has cooperated with many universities, longdistance education institutions, and language schools from Europe, America, and South-east Asia. As the branch of National Open University, School of International Culture has trained many students who were awarded scholarship by the Confucius Institute. They came from Austria, Indonesia, Spain, Russia, Poland, and Tajikistan, etc. School of International Culture has cooperated with Hu Chi Minh Open University by the means of mutual recognition of credit. It also has collaboratedfor Chinese language tourism projectswithEIR from Thailand, Korea National Open University, Open University,the two high schools from the United States, Spain's Madrid High School, Russian Far East Federal University, Indonesia's Mandarin Language School and Nanyang ZhiHui School.

School of International Culture provides students with personalized support services. Teachers have abundant Chinese-teaching experience and vivid and flexible teaching approach. It also provides extracurricular tutoring to enable the students to fill a vacancy leak, and know more about Chinese culture as well. It not only offers various optional courses, butalsointeresting language practice activities.

3．游学
语言项目游学，了解中国民俗，进行语言实践，游览名胜古迹，行程可按照我校制定的常规日程进行安排（2-4周），也可提出个性化需求。具体费用可在网站查询或电话联系。
c. Study-tour
Students can use their vacations to study Chinese andvisit famous scenic spots in Beijing at the same time. Schools and other institutions can join the regular study-tour program (2 to 4 weeks), or request specific classes.Students can contact us by email or phone.

5．新HSK培训
新HSK考试由国家汉办组织，是一项国际汉语能力标准化考试，也是留学生进入中国大学本科学习的资格考试，共分为1—6级。北京开放大学汉语中心是HSK的考点之一，考试形式为网考。此外，汉语中心也不定期地举办HSK考前培训班。
f.Internet-based Test Signing up andIntensive classes for HSK
HSK,organized by Hanban, is an international standardized test that is required for foreigners entering Chinese universities or colleges.There are six HSK levels.As one of the Beijing testing centers, CCF provides service for signing up and flexible training as needed. 留学生公寓
校园内有留学生公寓，干净整洁，设施齐全。房间类型有双人间、单人间。公寓设施有空调、彩电、宽带网、独立卫生间、浴盆、24小时热水、公共区域有免费无线网络。
Apartments for the Overseas Students
There is an apartment for the overseas students on the campus, which is clean and tidy, and complete in equipment. Single and double rooms are provided. Facilities include air conditioner, TV, Broadband Network, private bathroom, bathtub, 24-hour hot water. Wi-fi is available in public area.
入学手续
1.领表：申请入学者可从网站下载《北京开放大学外国学生学习申请表》。
2.填表和寄表：填好申请表后通过E-mail发至国际文化学院。60岁以上申请者须提供健康证明；18岁以下申请者须提供监护人保证书。
3.交纳报名费：可到国际文化学院交纳现金或银行汇款（汇款后将汇款单通过E-mail发至国际文化学院）。在收到上述材料和报名费后，国际文化学院将向申请者寄发《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202表）和《录取通知书》。
4.办理签证：申请者可持JW202表和《录取通知书》到当地中国使领馆办理来华学习签证。
Registration procedures
1.To apply:Download theAPPLICATION FORM FOR STUDY IN CHINA from the website.
2. Fill in the form and send it to BJOU by email or fax to the Chinese Center. Applicators over 60 must present a Health Certificate, and applicators less than 18 must present a parental letter of guarantee, which is completed by a parent/guardian.
3. Pay application fee: Students can pay by cash, or by wiretransfer(Email the receipt to Chinese Center after paying the application fee).Upon receiving the application fee, Chinese Center will send the JW 202 Form (Application Form of Entry Visa to P.R.C. for Foreign Students) and the Letter of Admission to the students.
4. Apply for a visa: Students can go to the Chinese Embassy to apply for a student visa after receiving the JW 202 Form and the Letter of Admission.
